Bradford Literature Festival 2018
2018 is sure as hell turning into the year that I’m doing stuff that I never thought I would (and low-key freaking out about in the process). After doing the WOW Festival a couple of months ago, going on BBC Radio 4 last weekend for a bit of a chat (catch it here if you missed it), next weekend I’m speaking at the Bradford Literary Festival!
On Sunday 1st July, I’ll be speaking on the ‘Representation in Sport’ panel, alongside sports journalist Suzy Wrack, and Director of Pride Sports UK Lou Englefield. On this panel, we’ll be examining the systemic barriers to entry across various sports, as well as the intersectional problems that still exist that prevent people from engaging in sport… from grassroots levels all the way up to the top.
I’m chuffed to have been invited to speak at the Bradford Literature Festival… especially as I’m still in the process of edits on ‘Back In The Frame’ which I can’t wait to share with everyone when it’s out next May!
The details for the festival:
WHEN: Sunday 1st July 2018, 10:45am
WHERE: Dye House Gallery, Bradford College
TICKETS: £7.00 (standard price) with concessions avaliable
Give us a shout if you’re coming along!
