I’m a writer, presenter and author. My blog, VéloCityGirl, focuses on different aspects of cycling, including cycle-style, adventures on two wheels, and how to widen participation in the activity.
My blog and social media presence have evolved from being my ‘tiny corner of the internet’ to inspiring women and young girls around the world to get on the saddle and ride. Leading UK publication BikeBiz named me as one of the most influential women in the UK cycling industry. US publication Bicycling Magazine listed me amongst their 107 Cycling Digital Superstars in the world to follow. Instagram recognised me as one of the most influential female storytellers in their #MyStoryUK campaign.
I’ve spoken about cycling culture, and what it’s like to be a woman in that domain on platforms as varied as BBC Newsnight, the Design Museum, BBC Radio 4, BBC Radio 6, and Southbank Centre’s WOW Festival.
My first book ‘Back In The Frame’ which tells the story of how I fell in love with all things bike and my journey into cycling, was published by Little, Brown on 23 May 2019. You can order it here.
